Cold rolled flat products are manufactured from hot rolled steel through further rolling at ambient temperature, achieving thicknesses between 0.1mm and 3.0mm with superior surface finish and tighter dimensional tolerances. Three main types are available: raw or full hard (as-rolled without annealing), annealed (heat treated for improved formability), and cold black sheet. Cold rolling enhances the steel's strength and produces a smoother, more uniform surface compared to hot rolled products.
